The EI leaders has 10 highschool members working on three areas: Conservation, Permaculture, and Conscious Consumption. We are partly an independent environmental group working to raise environmental literacy within the UWCSEA East community. Mainly, however, we are a body that connects and oversees the whole campus’ various environmental teams. Past projects include a massive survey we conducted to gauge the student body’s mindset and actions towards climate action, so as to tailor our actions accordingly. This year, we hope to encourage members of the school community (students, staff, and parents) to explore their emotions around the environmental issues, particularly climate change - climate grief and climate anxiety especially. We are privileged to be in position to lead change all across the cultural iceberg, and would love to learn more of how you have approached issues.
